MSW Degree Requirements

The foundation curriculum lays the groundwork for the advanced content. Students must complete coursework in professional foundation (knowledge, values, skills, ethics), practice (micro and macro), human behavior, social welfare policy, diversity and social justice, and research. Practicum education courses provide students with an opportunity to apply foundation knowledge to supervised professional social work practice. Students in their concentration year must complete courses relating to the social work topics of advanced practice, administration and management, evaluation research, and perspectives on mental health practice.
