Requirements

The Master of Science in Developmental Trauma is a fully online, asynchronous graduate program designed to educate students in the scientific and applied foundations of complex developmental trauma. The program prepares graduates for advanced academic study and/or professional practice with children, families, and systems impacted by adversity.

Students complete a sequence of core courses that build deep expertise in the neurobiological, relational, and systemic dimensions of developmental trauma. They also select elective coursework to develop specialized knowledge aligned with their professional goals, such as trauma‑informed caregiving, global systems of care, program evaluation, or TBRI® applications.

The online, asynchronous format provides flexibility for working professionals while maintaining a rigorous, research‑informed curriculum grounded in trauma‑informed principles.

The Master of Science in Developmental Trauma program consists of 30 hours of graduate coursework. In accordance with University Policy, a GPA of at least 2.75 must be maintained with no more than two passing grades of “C+” or lower being utilized in satisfying the degree requirement.
