Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisites: Permission from instructor. This course is designed to introduce students to using R, an open-source computing program. The course will focus on skills related to data visualization, data wrangling, transforming data, using functions, essential statistical functions, and a basic introduction to select machine learning/data driven methods. The course is split into three sections. Section 1: R fundamentals. Section 2: R for some statistical methods that you already know. Section 3: a first introduction to statistical learning/machine learning methods in R.
