Prerequisite: MUSI 30623 and senior standing; or graduate standing in music; or permission of instructor. Comprehensive survey of non-operatic solo vocal repertoire designed for students in voice, choral conducting, and collaborative piano. Topics will alternate between Italian (Baroque and Classical), German, Slavic, Scandinavian, and Spanish/Latin American repertoire from the 19th and 20th centuries; and Italian (Romantic and 20th Century), French, British, and American art song traditions. May be repeated once for credit when topics differ.
